A Readable and Refreshing Package Redesign
This project focuses on redesigning the packaging for Whiskas, a cat food brand. The goal was to create an accessible and innovative design that not only refreshes the brand’s image but also stands out on the shelves. Aimed at cat owners who want the best for their pets, the redesign maintains Whiskas' signature colors and logo while enhancing visual appeal and functionality. Through competitor analysis and brainstorming sessions, I explored fresh concepts to engage animal lovers effectively.

Creating a Sustainable and Appealing Design
The goal was to create a package that not only stands out, but captures Whiskas’ playful essence while maintaining its established color palette and brand feel. I experimented with various art styles and fonts to ensure consistency with the existing logo. I then incorporated sustainable packaging elements based on client feedback. Revisions focused on adjusting size proportions and refining the illustration to enhance friendliness. The final design strikes a balance between appeal and versatility for various product sizes.
A Creative, Fresh, and Distinct Redesign
I’m happy with the final packaging design, which truly reflects the accessible and innovative vision we set out to achieve. The new shape and style distinguish Whiskas from competitors, giving the brand a refreshing update. If I could revisit the project, I’d find an efficient way to find the right proportions of the die-line to save time on mockups and explore redesigning the logo to better align with the new packaging. Overall, this experience sharpened my skills in creating custom die-lines and opened my eyes to exciting possibilities in graphic design.
