A Companion App for Every Pet Parents Peace of Mind
The goal of PetPulse was to design an intuitive and vibrant app that helps pet owners easily track their pets' health and daily routines. The app provides features for managing appointments, monitoring food and water intake, and logging daily notes about pets’ activities or concerns. With bright, friendly visuals and an organised layout, PetPulse offers a simple yet engaging way for pet lovers to prioritise their animals' well-being and stay organised on the go.

From Concept to a Vibrant, User-Friendly App
I began with low-fidelity sketches to map out the UI layout and test ideas for the best flow. After refining the structure, I moved to high-fidelity sketches to bring the app’s design closer to life before adding colors, content, and imagery. Research and experimentation helped shape PetPulse's fun, accessible feel. Peer feedback on UI readability led me to enhance font size and add strokes for clarity, ultimately creating a polished, user-friendly app experience.
I sketched two concepts for PetPulse, and based on peer critique, I decided to combine the strongest elements from each. This approach allowed me to create a more refined and effective app design.
A Successful Blend of Functionality and Aesthetics
I was happy with the final design of PetPulse, which aligned perfectly with my initial vision of an organised and user-friendly app. The vibrant color palette, a departure from my usual choices, truly enhanced the app's appeal. If given another chance, I would focus on refining the logo and brand name to better resonate with the client. This project taught me the vital role of UI elements in creating readability and a smooth flow of the content, a lesson I’ll carry into future endeavours.
