A Fresh Brew in Branding for Tea Lovers
The goal of this logo redesign for TEASTORE, a comfortable Ottawa-based tea cafe, was to capture the essence of their unique offering: a relaxing space for tea enthusiasts to savour diverse global tea flavours. The client wanted a fresh, inviting look that would appeal to both dedicated tea lovers and casual visitors, featuring a welcoming aesthetic and colors that convey the warmth and goal of their cafe experience.

The Creative Process Behind the Relaxing TEASTORE Logo
To create a logo that truly represents TEASTORE, I explored over 30 sketches to represent the aesthetic of tea and the brand’s unique atmosphere. Collaborating with a sketch partner provided impactful critiques, helping refine standout elements. Once a core concept was selected, I experimented with colors and fonts to evoke a warm, inviting feel. Through client feedback, we adjusted the teapot’s leaf and stem and transitioned from cool tones to warmer hues to align with TEASTORE’s relaxing identity.

I found the final logo design for TEASTORE exciting, it captures the inviting, warm atmosphere the client envisioned. Simple yet effective, the logo communicates the brand’s mission to provide a serene, global tea experience in Ottawa. The client was pleased with the refined look, which aligns with their goals and engages tea lovers. This project taught me the rewarding value of thorough research and experimentation, solidifying my design approach for future branding projects.
