Floral Fizz & FROSTBITE:
A Bold Take on
Seasonal Brews
This project needed a fresh, eye-catching beer label concept to celebrate Ottawa’s iconic seasonal festivals. I designed Floral Fizz, inspired by the vibrant Tulip Festival, and FROSTBITE, reflecting the coolness of Winterlude. The goal was to create bold, playful packaging that stands out on shelves while capturing the adventurous spirit of beer lovers who enjoy great brews, great company, and great experiences.

Designing for Impact:
From Concept to Can
The design process started with in-depth research, sketching, and a lot of experimentation. I explored how the label would wrap around the can, ensuring key information remained visible and balanced. I explored layouts, typography, and color schemes, ensuring the design worked both aesthetically and functionally on a real can. Originally, the name was placed vertically beside the illustration, but I adjusted it above the artwork for better shelf visibility—ensuring the final design was both striking and functional.

I'm proud of how Floral Fizz and FROSTBITE turned out—the colors, typography, and illustrations capture the essence of their respective festivals while standing out on the shelf. Revising the label placement was a key learning moment, reinforcing the importance of designing with real-world application in mind. This project deepened my understanding of packaging design, from aesthetics to functionality, and strengthened my ability to create both bold and practical brand visuals.
